New Clean Water Well Changes Lives in Rural District

← Back to News

A newly constructed borehole is now providing safe drinking water to an entire village, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.

Before this intervention, women and children in the district walked an average of 5 kilometers daily to fetch water from an unprotected, muddy swamp. The toll on their health and education was devastating.

Thanks to the generous contributions of our donors, the Mpologoma Charity Foundation recently commissioned a new deep borehole that now outputs clean, safe, and reliable drinking water right at the heart of the community.

Providing water is considered one of the best forms of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity). Access to this well has already decreased instances of typhoid and cholera significantly. More importantly, children are now spending more time in school instead of walking long distances for water.

We are currently identifying five more villages requiring immediate water interventions. Help us quench their thirst by sponsoring our upcoming water projects.
